Introduction to lovemainframe (Part 2)

Lovemainframe's mission is to develop and grow a social media presence focused 100% on mainframe technology where mainframe professionals can be in the company of other mainframe professionals
 
An environment for members to ask questions, seek and give advice, tips and tricks to each other and the wider mainframe community, to educate and grow together in a friendly mainframe focused place.
 
An outlet for bloggers to blog or to post links to their blogs, to post or link to interesting and relevant industry news articles, and promote other mainframe related websites.
 
Providing members with a platform to network for business purposes, connecting with each to research the mainframe marketplace and to find services and products.
 
Adding in the near future full member profile capabilities and a job-board, and other features.
 
Lovemainframe is not intended to be a hobby project. I want to make lovemainframe a revenue earning website, so that it is not dependent on a whim or available spare time, that there is a solid business case and financial reason for it exist, that it will be here tomorrow, next year and into the future, well managed, well moderated and professionally run.

As a member of Zowe, an open source project with the vision of becoming an integration framework for modern tools and services on z/OS, there are a lot of synergies we can explore. I believe the more cross pollination between different mainframe communities the stronger our reach and impact can be!

    Misty Decker As a mainframer, I love a community where we can all connect without the noise and distractions.
    As the program manager for the Z Academic Initiative, I see a huge need the mainframe community to engage the "outside world" that has seriously no clue about what this machine can do today. Can we somehow use this community to empower mainframers to spread the mainframe passion more broadly?

    Finbar Burke I wanted to post this this, as my first blog introducing lovemainframe was a bit clumsy (probably not a good start ) lovemainframe is meant to be so much more than a job-board, it will be a complete mainframe environment, catering for as much of the needs mainfame community as possible
