Introduction to lovemainframe

Why a Mainframe Community and Job-Board? because these are the skills I recruited for when I first went into recruitment a long long time ago. The technologies are alive and well and the skills are very much in demand.

But using generic job-boards (and recruitment agencies in-house databases) to recruit is difficult as those with current skills are mixed in with all those people who once had them many years ago before moving on (or up).

It will bring together the best bits of a recruitment agency and the best bits of a job-board, a comprehensive, detailed, well maintained social media site of professionals, letting hiring managers, internal recruiters and everyone else search, connect and contact relevant and current up-to-date candidates, contractors and friends directly.

BUT without the bad bits of a recruitment agency, job-boards or LinkedIn, so no high fees, no out of date profiles, no irrelevant profiles and no secrecy or misinformation.

It will be the equivalent of having an internal recruiter and up-to-date database of contractors and potential candidates because it negates the need for every client/user to reinvent the wheel, building and maintaining their own individual database.

I'm hoping to get people on-board at this early stage to help shape it into what you the contractor, the candidate and the client wants to make this into the perfect social media and recruitment solution for Mainframe.
